AFL star’s incredible citizen’s arrest


Beau Muston has completed a spectacular citizen’s arrest.

IT may have been seven years since Beau Muston played in the AFL, but the ex-Hawk’s tackling skills came in very handy when he saw an alleged attack in Frankston.

The former Hawthorn Football Club midfielder and Frankston Bombers footy coach chased and tackled a man who had allegedly attacked a security guard.

Muston saw the incident unfold outside his clothing store, Caminha, in Shannon Mall. The security guard fell heavily on a gutter, breaking his leg, while the suspect fled but didn’t get far as Muston sprinted after him.

“There were so many bystanders and no one was doing anything so I ran over and got this bloke in a headlock, just restrained him,” he said.
