Australian golfer Jarrod Lyle is bracing for a third cancer battle.

AUSSIE golfer Jarrod Lyle is bracing for a third cancer battle after blood tests returned abnormal results and he was admitted to hospital.

Lyle has twice battled and beaten acute myeloid leukaemia — once in 1998 and again in 2012, and tests results are expected to confirm the disease has returned.

The 35-year-old, who played in Australia and on the US PGA Tour before stepping away from full-time golf in recent years, is in the Royal Melbourne Hospital preparing for his latest battle.

“A routine blood test conducted earlier this week returned abnormal results and Jarrod was immediately admitted to hospital and placed under the care of his previous medical specialist. He will remain there at least until a full diagnosis has been made, “a statement from the Lyle family said.
