CHARLIE GARD’S parents know their treasured baby boy is about to die.

They have one final wish — to take their 11-month-old son home, put him to bed and kiss him goodbye.

The tragic tale that has made international headlines this week moved The Project hosts Carrie Bickmore and Fifi Box to tears on television last night.

It was footage of Charlie’s parents Connie Yates and Chris Gard announcing to the world that their efforts to seek alternative treatments overseas had failed that caused Box and Bickmore — both mothers of young children — to become emotional.
