THE equation is simple for Brenton Avdulla at Rosehill on Saturday: ride a treble and hope Hugh Bowman doesn’t ride a winner.

Avdulla trails Bowman by 2.5 wins in the Sydney jockeys’ premiership heading into the last metropolitan meeting of the season but ‘The Gun’ hasn’t given up just yet.

“I will be out there doing my best but it’s going to be hard to peg (Hugh) back,” Avdulla conceded.

“I’ve got an even book and Slumber Party back in grade from a soft gate will be thereabouts, Liapari is up in grade but in winning form and The Pharoah just got nutted the other day and will be fitter.”
