Kings bring seven foot US college star home

Basketball: Russia took on Spain in the U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup and despite claiming the win, it doesn’t change the fact that almost the entire team went backwards and scored on their own basket during the game.

Isaac Humphries was a star for the University of Kentucky.

AFTER months of courting, the Sydney Kings have finally got their man.

Sydney-born centre Isaac Humphries is officially a King after agreeing to join his hometown franchise for the 2017/2018 NBL season.

After a successful two-year stint at the University of Kentucky, Humphries opted to turn professional.

The highly-rated 19-year-old from Caringbah worked out with several NBA franchises over the summer, including the Washington Wizards, after going undrafted.

He could easily have signed a lucrative deal in Europe, but he decided to return home and link with the Kings.
