Labor MP accused of misusing electoral roll

THE Labor member for Wallsend, Sonia Hornery, has been charged with misusing electoral enrolment information, a shock announcement by the NSW Electoral Commission said today.

In a statement, the commission said: “The NSW Electoral Commission has laid a charge against the Australian Labor Party Member for Wallsend for using enrolment information that had been provided by the Commission for a purpose not permitted under the Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act 1912 (‘the Act’).
