Mitchell trade a win-win: Roos

AFL: Brent Harvey joins Gameday Live and says he believes the Swans would win the grand final if it was played tomorrow.

Tom Mitchell was traded from Sydney to Hawthorn last year.

TOM Mitchell will be an enormous headache for the Swans in Friday night’s MCG blockbuster — but John Longmire’s side are better without him.

That’s the view of former Sydney coach Paul Roos, who believes the departure of Mitchell has given the red and whites a new look through the midfield and much needed speed. Qualities which will be much needed when the great rivals meet.

Hawthorn famously lost Lance Franklin to the Swans in 2013 but went on to be an even better side without him belting Sydney and West Coast in the 2014 and 2015 grand finals.
