No longer ‘tacky’ … cask wine is back

A MELBOURNE ‘it’ restaurant has gone full millennial … selling $55 cask wine.

Chapel St eatery Mr Mijagi has launched premium-grade booze sold in “goon boxes”.

Mr Miyagi co-owner Kristian Klein said the “tacky” cask was being reinvented with premium booze, including white, rosé and red wine.

The range includes 750ml local red (Murray Darling shiraz), white (Marlborough sav blanc) and rosé (Adelaide Hills rose), branded as “Let the goon times roll”, “After you goon, you spoon”, “You ask — Mr. M cask” and “Blast from the cask”.
