Partington in, Priddis out for Eagles

WEST Coast youngster Luke Partington will make his AFL debut against Brisbane at Domain Stadium on Sunday.

The 20-year-old, on the cusp of senior selection for several weeks, was named in the 18 in a squad of 25 for the game this afternoon.

But the Eagles will be without Matt Priddis because of a quad injury, while Lewis Jetta (calf) is also out.

And Partington’s fellow youngsters, Tom Cole, Liam Duggan and Jackson Nelson, will have an anxious wait for the squad to be cut by three tomorrow after being named on an extended seven man bench along with tagger Mark Hutchings and inclusions Eric Mackenzie, Fraser McInnes and Malcolm Karpany.

The Eagles have kept the faith with forward Mark LeCras, after calls from analyst David King for him to never play again on Fox this week.

LeCras was named in the 18, as was Sam Mitchell, who returns after being rested last week.
