Preview: Best bets for Randwick

Horse Racing: Champion mare Winx has made a successful return to racing with her 14th straight win in the Apollo Stakes.

ASTERN’S little sister won’t be the only exciting prospect to step out at Royal Randwick on Wednesday with boom colt Glenall also set to make his return.

All eyes will be on Alizee, a half-sister to Golden Rose winner Astern, when she makes her debut in the 2YO Maiden (1000m). Christian Reith will ride the filly after Godolphin’s main rider James Doyle fractured his right hand in a fall at Randwick on Monday.


The filly has already firmed into $26 with TAB for the Golden Slipper and is odds-on for race one on the back of her strong Rosehill trial win late last month.
