HE was an international singing superstar whose angelic voice won him the adoration of fans and fellow music legends all over the world.
But Multiple ARIA-Award-winner Geoffrey Yunupingu barely whispered a word publicly once he stepped off the stage.
Dr Yunupingu, whose image and full name news.com.au has withheld for cultural reasons following his death on Tuesday, was notoriously media shy.
But that never mattered. His talents spoke for themselves.
He instead preferred his manager and longtime close friend Michael Hohnen to speak publicly on his behalf. Subsequently, little was publicly known about Dr Yunupingu, outside of his music.
