This school canteen menu is next level

Northern Beaches Christian School our new favourite lunch spot.

AT THE risk of sounding like an old man on a rocking chair with a rifle, back in my day the school canteen had dim-sims, jam doughnuts and sausage rolls.

It was a marvellous calorific wonderland of saturated fats and refined sugars and on the day that I was allowed to buy my lunch from the canteen, I strutted in there like the kid crashing the BBC live cross:

But thanks to the church of Jamie Oliver we now know that it’s irresponsible to give your kids bad food and you should be feeding them carrot sticks and cottage cheese instead. Preferably arranged as a fun smiley face.

Healthy food is one thing, but a school in Sydney’s northern beaches is taking things a step further. Their canteen menu is bordering on the hipster.
