Sheen plays a man trapped in an elevator inside the north tower of the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001 in the real-life disaster film. He and the rest of the poor souls trapped inside are in a race to escape before the impending collapse of the towers.
The movie’s obviously low budget and cut-price cast (joining Sheen in the elevator is Showgirls star Gina Gershon as his wife, while Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg slums it as the elevator helpline operator) are likely enough to turn off a generation of film goers who are old enough to remember the events of September 11 vividly.
