A family representative told People that Preston had been keeping her cancer battle “private”.
“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” the rep told the outlet on July 13. “She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”

Meghan and Harry seen driving fuel heavy Cadillac in Beverly Hills
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are well known for pushing their environmentally friendly agenda. But the former royals have been labelled hypocrites after they were photographed during an outing in Beverly Hills at the weekend, where they were seen driving a huge black Cadillac Escalade.
The Daily Mail reported the SUV, which reportedly costs from $A145,000, is one of the worst car models in terms of its reliance on fuel, with a six-litre engine.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now call Los Angeles home, were seen out and about between appointments, as they wore face masks and summer clothing.
MORE: Prince Harry has “simply lost the plot”
Meghan, 38, was pictured wearing a white dress and brimmed hat, while Harry, 35, was wearing a cap grey polo shirt and jeans, as they were spotted waiting for a valet to return their vehicle.
A week ago the couple appeared in a video to raise awareness amid the Black Lives Matter movement, encouraging the people of Britain to “promote prosperity, democracy and peace, amplify the voice of small states, and protect the environment”.
Critics took to social media to call out the couple for regularly urging others to look after the environment.
It’s certainly not the first time the pair have been branded as hypocrites for their eco-friendly stance.
Meghan and Harry dominated headlines in August last year when they took four private jet flights in just 11 days.

Sir Elton John revealed he paid for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to travel by private jet to visit his $27 million home in Nice, France.
The following month, when speaking at the launch of his sustainable travel initiative in Amsterdam, Harry said the use of private jets for his family was necessary to ensure their safety.
“I spend 99 per cent of my life travelling the world by commercial,” Harry told reporters at the time.
“Occasionally there needs to be an opportunity based on a unique circumstance to ensure my family are safe. It’s genuinely as simple as that.
“What it is about is balance. If I have to do that – it’s not a decision that I would want to take – but if I have to do that then I would ensure, as I have done previously and I will continue to make sure that I do, is to balance out that impact that I have. I have always offset my CO2,” he said.
Why the dress Princess Diana wore for her first royal engagement caused a stir – 9Honey
If there’s one aspect of the British monarchy that hasn’t changed in recent decades, it’s the intense scrutiny over the wardrobe choices made by royal women.
As well as contending with the public’s opinions of their clothing, royals are also faced with expectations from within ‘The Firm’ as to how they should dress.
Though Princess Diana is today remembered for her royal style moments, even she fell foul of the monarchy’s preferences on her very first official outing, no less.
On March 3, 1981, Diana, then 19, embarked on her first royal engagement since her engagement to Prince Charles was announced days earlier.

Attending a musical recital at Goldsmiths’ Hall in London, she wore a black taffeta ballgown by David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who also designed her wedding dress.
Speaking to biographer Andrew Morton years later, Diana recalled being “so excited” ahead of the event and pleased with her choice of outfit.
“I got this black dress from the Emanuels, and I thought it was OK because girls my age wore this dress,” she is quoted saying in Diana: Her True Story – In Her Own Words.
“I hadn’t appreciated that I was now seen as a royal lady, although I’d only got a ring on my finger as opposed to two rings.”
Speaking on The Windsors podcast, 9Honey royal commentator Victoria Arbiter added: “She just looked young and pure and innocent, and everyone sort of just wanted to take care of her.”

Diana’s dress was certainly eye-catching, and adhered to the gala event’s black tie dress code, but it wasn’t exactly in line with the royal family’s sartorial guidelines.
The royal bride-to-be had believed black a wise colour choice, telling Morton: “To me,
