Two men have had their cars impounded after doing burnouts in front of police at Port Adelaide last night.
It will be alleged that about 9.48pm on Saturday 4 July, police were monitoring an area often used for burnouts on Moorhouse Road, when they observed a Ford Falcon sedan do a burnout.
When police had stopped the Ford and were speaking with the driver, a Holden Commodore station wagon did another burnout in front of police.
The driver of the a Ford, a 19-year-old St Agnes man and a 21-year-old West Beach man (the Holden driver) were reported for traffic offences including misuse of a motor vehicle and sustained wheel spin.
Their cars were impounded for 28 days and they will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Any incidents of ‘hoon’ driving or dangerous road behaviour should be reported via the Police Assistance Line on 131444. Remember to include details such as make, model and colour of cars, registration plates and location.

Two men will appear in court today charged after cocaine, cash and weapons were seized following a vehicle stop in Sydney’s east yesterday.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were conducting proactive patrols when they stopped a Volkswagen Golf on New South Head Road, Rose Bay, about 8pm (Saturday 4 July 2020).
Police spoke to the driver, a 22-year-old man, and his passenger, a 26-year-old man, before searching the vehicle.
During the search, police allegedly found cocaine, more than $8200 cash, a baton and a knife.
Both men were arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station.
The younger man was charged with supply prohibited drug (between small and indictable quantity), possess prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime (x2), custody of knife in public place, and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
The older man was charged with supply prohibited drug (between small and indictable quantity), possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime.
The pair were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 5 July 2020).
