SA Police Commissioner, Grant Stevens and CFS Director of Operational Capability and Planning, Tammy Moffat were out today showing their support for the Emergency Services Blood Challenge!

Each year, hundreds of SA Police staff across the state donate blood to the Red Cross. The Emergency Services Challenge is a great initiative to encourage more staff to donate!

Currently, SAPOL are sitting at first place for number of donations with 418 recorded so far. The SA Country Fire Service is coming in second with 196. And in third place sit the SA Metropolitan Fire Service with 158. A great effort by all but there’s still time to participate in the challenge and donate. If you’d like to contribute to the challenge, you’ve got until 31 August.

Even if you’re not taking part in the challenge, please consider making a donation. Every drop counts, especially during these times of COVID-19 when it’s even more important.

While it can be uncomfortable for some, each donation is saving lives across South Australia.
