A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s north west today….

A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s north west today.

About 4.50pm (Monday 3 August 2020), emergency services were called to a unit on Ingleby Street, Oatlands, following reports a woman had been stabbed.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital where she died.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and arrested a 25-year-old man – known to the woman – at the scene.

He’s been taken to Granville Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

A third man – also known to the woman – was treated nearby a minor injury. He does not require further treatment.

Investigations are continuing.
