Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Killcare.

Murray Deakin, aged 61, left his home on Smithy Street, Killcare, just after 8.30am yesterday (Wednesday 12 August 2020), telling family that he was going for a walk in the Bouddi National Park.

When he failed to return home, officers from Brisbane Water Police District were notified.

An extensive search of the area has failed to locate Mr Deakin. His vehicle has been located in the car park of Mount Bouddi picnic area.

Police and family have grave concerns for Murray’s welfare as it is out of character.

Murray is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 190cm tall, of slim build, and with short grey receding hair. He was wearing a red hooded jumper and blue trackpants.

Anyone with information about Murray’s whereabouts is urged to contact Brisbane Water Police District or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
