WA loses bid for retrial with Clive Palmer but judge supports keeping border closed – The Mercury

The West Australian Government has lost its bid for a retrial in its legal battle with Clive Palmer over its hard border closure.
But in a blow to the mining magnate, a Federal Court judge has backed its decision to close off the state to the rest of the country.
The WA Government made an urgent request for another hearing earlier this month after the federal government withdrew from the case, having originally sided with Mr Palmer.
