A private company owned by businessman Clive Palmer has declared a $2 million donation to Mr Palmer’s United Australian Party.
- A public database shows the donation was made on Wednesday
- It is the single biggest donation declared under Queensland electoral laws
- Mr Palmer spent tens of millions of dollars campaigning in the 2019 federal election
It is further evidence the businessman plans to play a major role in the Queensland election campaign in the lead up to the October 31 poll.
The Electoral Commission Queensland’s (ECQ) public database shows Mineralogy Pty Ltd made the donation yesterday, with a description of the gift as “Transfer of 2Million to CPUAP Qld State Bank account”.
