A 14-year-old boy who went missing in the Yarra Ranges has been found dead.
William Wall told his family he was going for a run and left his home at Launching Place, east of Melbourne at 6:45am on Tuesday.
A major search was launched to find the boy, involving police and the SES.
Victoria Police have sadly confirmed William was located deceased in Yarra Junction.
The Daily Mail is reporting William’s body was found in bushland at the end of a residential street less than two kilometres from his home.
William’s brother and volunteers are angry with authorities who told them they weren’t allowed to help search for the teenager due to COVID-19 restrictions.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Police have thanked the media and all those involved in the search.
