A photographer has been charged after allegedly assaulting two women during photoshoots in Inner Sydney up to 15 years ago.
Police allege a 35-year-old woman was working as a model when she was sexually assaulted by a male photographer at a Surry Hills warehouse in 2005.
Detectives established Strike Force Nannawilli in May this year to investigate the woman’s claims.
A second woman, aged 33, was allegedly sexually assaulted by a photographer at a Surry Hills warehouse in 2011.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Redfern, about 8am today arrested a 48-year-old man.
During the search, police seized a number of hard drives, computers, camera equipment and phones. The items will be forensically examined.
The man was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with sexual intercourse without consent and aggravated sex assault – deprive liberty.
He was refused bail and will appear in Central Local Court later today.
Investigations are continuing.
