Queensland Election 2020: Meet the independent candidate for Macalister

Former Labor cabinet minister Margaret Keech has quit the party to run as an independent candidate for the seat of Macalister, centred on Beenleigh and Eagleby, in the Queensland 2020 state election. She has lived in Beenleigh for 40 years and once worked for the Beattie and Bligh governments.

With her loyal canine companion Chloe, Ms Keech is taking on Labor MP Melissa McMahon who she supported at the 2017 election.
