Sydney man charged with murder of young wife

A man will face court today accused of killing his wife in Sydney earlier this week.

23-year-old Sabah Hafiz was allegedly brutally bashed by her husband Adam Cureton.

Her body was found by emergency services at a unit on Lane Street at Wentworthville around 2:40am on Wednesday following reports a woman had been injured.

Sabah Hafiz’s body was found in her Wentworthville home.

Cureton was arrested at a unit on Astoria Circuit in Maroubra at 11am yesterday and charged with her murder.

Police searched the unit where the man was found and seized clothing, a wallet and mobile phone for further examination.

The man was taken to Maroubra Police Station before being taken to Prince of Wales Hospital under police guard for observation.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
