Children’s Week 2020: teddy bear picnics held across Tasmania | The Examiner

The more than 40 year tradition of a teddy bears picnic in City Park looked a little different in 2020, with smaller events being hosted around the state. The picnics are part of Children’s Week, which runs nationally from October 24 to November 7, to promote this year’s theme – children have the right to choose their own friends and safely connect with others. IN OTHER NEWS: One picnic was held at Playgroup’s centre at Invermay, where craft activities, music, stories, bubbles and parachute fun provided a resemblance to past picnics.
