82-years-young and still teaching – AON

Dell Rathbone is a living legend, teaching Queenslanders across three generations for more than 65 years.

She has just been awarded the TEACHX Outstanding Contribution to Teaching after being nominated by her colleagues at West Moreton Anglican College, who describe her as highly respected, influential, compassionate, tenacious and one of the finest educators around.

A survivor of cancer and domestic violence, Dell has met every challenge head-on and works tirelessly to mentor children using her innate skills to diagnose their learning behaviours and unlock their full potential.
