Making Christmas better for women doing it tough – AON

Socks, feathers, sand and newspaper are just some of the things homeless women have used to try control their period when they choose to spend their money on food over sanitary products.

An Australian charity called Share the Dignity is working to break ‘period poverty’ by asking people to help make up a bag with toiletries and add something special for women in need this Christmas.

Their ‘It’s in the Bag’ campaign will run from 20th November until the 29th November, with drop off points at Bunnings.
