Turf war over AAMI Park as Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City block Western United from venue ahead of A-League 2020-21

Western United CEO Chris Pehlivanis said that Victory and City are blocking their initiative – even though three of the six games matches the club envisages playing at AAMI Park would be Western’s “home” games against their Victorian rivals.

“We just think that it is unreasonable to oppose this at the current time and with the restrictions imposed by COVID-19,” said Pehlivanis.
