The biff is almost dead in rugby league and when tempers do flare it’s usually a messy mix of jersey punches and wrestling from a group of players.
So viewers were left stunned when a fight erupted in the final of the national indigenous championships on Saturday and it was left between just two opponents.

Ex-NRL player Tyronne Roberts-Davis was playing fullback for Walgett and he squared off with Newcastle Hawks’ Randall Briggs as their teammates stood back watched the pair trade blows.
