SA COVID restrictions likely to ease by Christmas as Parafield cluster stabilises


South Australia’s premier says Christmas will, hopefully, be business as usual as the state battles to stamp out a COVID-19 cluster in the wake of a lie-based lockdown.

Eased restrictions came into effect on Sunday after a three-day “circuit breaker” shutdown – one of the world’s most brutal.

Capacity limits for gyms, pubs, restaurants, weddings and funerals remain in place as authorities warn the state isn’t out of the woods yet when it comes to the Parafield outbreak.

Premier Steven Marshall says those are due to end on December 1 and will, all going well, be replaced with the level of restrictions hoped to be implemented before the cluster emerged.

This would mean a return to large allowances for public and private gatherings…
