Warm morning a taste of what’s to come in Adelaide

In the midst of a hot spell, cloud cover and a hot airmass over South Australia caused some locations to have their warmest morning for a while.
A low and trough over SA has caused northwesterly winds to develop and draw in heat from the northwest. This has seen temperatures spike across parts of the state. The West Terrace site in Adelaide reached a top of 39 degrees on Saturday which was the site’s highest temperature recorded since the mercury hit 43 degrees in late January.
