Prisoner’s escape from remand centre in Adelaide’s CBD sparks police manhunt – ABC News

Police are searching Adelaide’s CBD for prisoner Jason Burdon, who escaped from the Adelaide Remand Centre this morning.

  • Police described Jason Burdon as being “low risk” to the public
  • It is believed he climbed down using a rope made of clothing
  • Officers have been using CCTV footage to track the escapee

They said the 33-year-old fled from the kitchen area of the maximum security facility on Currie Street about 9:55am, with police informed about 10:20am.
