Dog dumped in Mickleham: Internet sleuths, police investigate


Internet sleuths are trying to track down the owner of a silver Mercedes Benz after the driver was caught on film allegedly dumping a Jack Russell dog in scorching Melbourne heat.

Nicole Crossley was mowing a nature strip in Mickleham, 40km north of Melbourne, about 11am on Sunday when she noticed the vehicle drop the dog by the side of the road.

She managed to capture a grainy photograph of the vehicle with the dog running alongside before both disappeared around a corner.

Despite a search for what she said was more than 1.5 hours, she failed to locate the dog.

“At 11am today, being 33 degrees already, this car pulled up on the corner of Mount Ridley Road and Farleigh Court in Mickleham and dumped the small dog as seen in the picture,”…
