A burst of hot and windy weather that fuelled dangerous bushfires in SA on the weekend will spread into Victoria and southern NSW today.
A hot air mass drifting over SA on Sunday caused fire danger ratings to reach Extreme to Catastrophic levels in some parts of the state. The summer heatwave saw temperatures reach 45ºC at Port Augusta and Murray Bridge Airport and nearly 43ºC in Adelaide, which was the city’s hottest day in a year.
