The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially lost their royal patronages after leaving behind their royal duties in a move that has come to be known as #Megxit.
A statement from Buckingham Palace states that the couple, who recently announced that they were expecting their second child, have confirmed that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family, following a 12-month review that was agreed upon at the time of their initial departure.
It reads: “Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.
