A youth is in custody following an alleged escape attempt at Ashley Youth Detention Centre | The Advocate

A male youth is in custody, following an incident at Ashley Youth Detention Centre on Tuesday night. The youth allegedly made an attempt to escape custody at the centre at about 7:15pm. Tasmania Police shortly located him hiding in bushes nearby a short time later. Investigations into the incident are currently underway. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Deloraine Police on 131 444 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers on 1800 33 000 or at crimestoppertas.com.au MORE TO COME.
