Rescue groups and animal charities were on display at Royal Park for the Animal Expo | The Examiner

Every dog has its day – and that was today at the 2021 Animal Expo. Around 900 people filtered through the gates at Launceston’s Royal Park to celebrate all things animals. From face painting to animal adoptions, there was something for everyone at the family friendly event. In attendance were Guide Dogs Tasmania with some of their dogs in training, demonstrating the work the charity undertakes. Guide Dogs Tasmania program manager Kim Ryan said they were delighted to be able to support the event. “With COVID, we were unable to do our normal public fundraising events, so it’s great to be able to attend, raise awareness in the community and hopefully engage a few new volunteers to our programs to support the pups coming…
