Raptor Squad have charged a man with a range of firearm related offences following a vehicle stop by police in Sydney’s south-west.
Yesterday (Thursday 29 April 2021), the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squadreceived information that a man travelling from Victoria was in possession of firearms.
About 7.45pm, officers attached to Raptor Highway Patrol stopped a Victorian registered Holden Commodore sedan at the intersection of Canterbury Road and Gibson Avenue, Bankstown.
The driver, a 43-year-old man from Mildura, was arrested at the scene.
Searches of the man and the car were executed, which resulted in police seizing two .45 calibre pistols.
