Morrison ‘has trouble with the truth’: Kristina Keneally

Shadow Home Affairs Minister Kristina Keneally says "quite frankly" French President Emmanuel Macron has "belled the cat".

"He has said out loud what many Liberal MPs already know, that Mr Morrison can't be trusted," Ms Keneally told Sky News Australia.

It comes after French President Emmanuel Macron, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome, accused Prime Minister Scott Morrison of lying.

"President Macron doesn't trust Mr Morrison," Ms Keneally said.

"Quite frankly, the Australian people are rapidly realising that Mr Morrison simply can't be trusted.

"Let's be honest here ... Mr Morrison has trouble with the truth."
