Queensland and Tasmania hitting 80 per cent double dose ‘great news’: Morrison

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has congratulated Queensland and Tasmania for hitting the vaccination milestone of 80 per cent double dose.

“It's a terrific result, and we look forward to that continuing on because it's very important now that people continue to go and get their boosters,” he said.

Mr Morrison said he and “over 600,000 Australians” had received their booster shots already.

“We want to keep encouraging people to go and get your boosters because that means we are opening safely, and that means we stay open,” he said.
