Labor has pledged to continue to push for sun, wind, hydrogen, gas and stored energy to generate 82 per cent of the nation’s power by 2030 and around 90pc by the early 2040s while the Coalition has put a mix of gas, coal and nuclear on the table to reach net zero by 2050.
