QUEENSLAND BORDERS – DAVID CRISAFULLI MP

DAVID CRISAFULLI MP ON JULY 2020 REOPENING
We’ve had several different dates flagged to reopen our borders in the past few days. If the health situation changed I’d be the first to agree with changing guidelines but there has been no change in either infection or medical advice which says we should be preparing for a July reopening. I’ll keep putting forward the feedback we are getting during these difficult times.

No set of rules, or the timing of their introduction, will ever be perfect in a pandemic. The challenge is consistency and clarity. The decision to keep our borders closed have displayed neither. My comments on the Alan Jones show today are below.

ROAD TO RECOVERY COVID-19 DAVID CRISAFULLI MP
Queenslanders have been patient and they have been disciplined. Now they need some hope for the future of when they can return to work and go for a beer afterwards while respecting the distancing laws that have become part of our lives. Perhaps it’s a number of downloads of the COVID app in our state. Perhaps an amount of new disease free days. Whatever it is, they want some goal posts to strive for. That’s a reasonable request.
