Nationals in ‘support of a process’ for net zero

The National Party has agreed in-principle to a 2050 net zero emissions target, after a week of tense discussions about a position on a potential commitment for the Glasgow climate summit, which begins in a week. Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce told reporters on Sunday evening the Nationals were in “support of a process going forward that would go towards a 2050 emissions target," a decision which was reached after the fourth party room meeting in just seven days.
