‘Extraordinary’ testimony delivered at ICAC inquiry into Berejiklian

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has discussed what has unfolded today at the ICAC inquiry into former NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian.

Mr Clennell said some of the testimony delivered on day nine of the ICAC inquiry was “extraordinary”.

“One of the things that is most extraordinary, as often is the case at ICAC, are the phone taps,” Mr Clennell told Sky News Australia.

“Phone taps of Gladys Berejiklian and Daryl Maguire where she talks about throwing money at Wagga.

“Even after he resigns in disgrace in 2018 and she forces him out of Parliament eventually, he’s talking to her on the phone about throwing money at Wagga and she agrees to do so."

Mr Clennell said, “it’s extraordinary she’s talking to him at that time about these matters.”
