Treasurer Josh Frydenberg ‘deeply disappointed’ by Liberal MP’s conduct

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says he is "deeply disappointed" by the conduct of Victorian Liberal MP Tim Smith after he was involved in a drink-driving collision on Saturday. 
  
Mr Smith resigned from the Shadow Cabinet after he was caught driving in Melbourne more than double the legal limit. 
  
"Certainly, Tim's a good friend, and I have supported him – but I am also deeply disappointed in his conduct – his conduct was unacceptable; drink driving is dangerous," Mr Frydenberg told Sky News Australia. 
  
The federal treasurer said he continues to support the work Mr Smith does for his electorate of Kew.
