Frydenberg rejects accusation Morrison has ‘reputation for lying’

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says he rejects the accusations of lying levelled against PM Scott Morrison by the likes of former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and French President Emmanuel Macron.

It comes as former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said Mr Morrison had a "reputation for lying" amid the Glasgow climate summit.

French President Emmanuel Macron also accused the prime minister of lying over the backing out of French submarine contract.

Mr Frydenberg said he does not believe Mr Morrison has ever lied to him nor does he agree with the accusation that the PM has a reputation for it.

"Obviously I reject the accusations that have been levelled at him – including by the French president," Mr Frydenberg told Sky News Australia.
