PM: Net zero modelling to be released ‘soon’

The Prime Minister has hit the road in the NSW Hunter region – reassuring coal communities they have a bright future under the government's climate target. 
  
The question about the timeline for the net zero modelling is now front and centre as the government heads into pre-election campaign territory. 
  
Scott Morrison told parliament on October 28 the public would see this modelling which underpins the climate target in the next couple of weeks – it is now 11 days on from the announcement. 
  
On his visit to the Hunter region, pushed on the same question, Mr Morrison kept referring to 'soon' as the timeframe. 
  
It is critical the public sees the modelling because the government is making a few bold claims such as 62,0000 heavy industry and mining jobs will flow as a result of this target – and people will be around $2000 better off. 
  
The public has yet to see the details of this modelling.
