NSW government’s EV plan will overcome ‘three main barriers’

New South Wales Treasurer Matt Kean says there are "three main barriers" to owning electric vehicles, which the state government's plan will overcome.  
  
It will spend another $105 million to spur the uptake of electric vehicles among fleet operators.  
  
Mr Kean said the barriers of electric vehicles include the price point of the cars, range anxiety, and the number of vehicles that are available in the market.  
  
"Our policies are designed to address all three barriers and ensure that people can get access to this technology as soon as possible," he told Sky News Australia.  
  
"This technology is really important; it's not only good for the environment, but importantly, electric vehicles are cheaper to run, and they're a better car to drive."
