Hit-run accused ‘drove at police’

A Melbourne man allegedly drove at police while helping another man avoid arrest over a hit-run crash.

Ashley Luke Powell, 25, is facing five charges in connection with a fatal crash at Carrum Downs in Melbourne’s southeast on Tuesday that left a man dead and another seriously injured.
