Coal will be here ‘next week and next year’: Angus Taylor

Energy Minister Angus Taylor says coal "will be here" next week, and next year, and is still an important part of the energy mix.

"There's no doubt though, that energy mix will continue to change in the coming years," Mr Taylor told Sky News Australia.

"Gas will play an important role for many years to come.

"And renewables are coming on in Australia at a record level."
